For shops, traders and online sellers

Your customers already order on WhatsApp. Your team should answer it together.

Orders arrive on three staff phones, nobody can say what was promised to whom, and the same question (bei gani? mko wapi? mnaleta?) gets answered forty times a day. Sema puts your WhatsApp number in one place your whole team answers from, and answers the routine questions for you.

A month, worked out

What it would cost

A shop answering 1,500 customer chats a month, sending an update for 800 orders, and two offers to a list of a thousand. The first 1,000 replies a month cost least of all and the rest cost little; the offers are most of the bill, which is why the cost is shown before a campaign sends.

Ready for your trade

Your customers’ data, protected

A shop’s customers trust it with their number and what they bought. Who on your team sees them, and for how long they are kept, is yours to decide.

Roles the database enforces

Owner, admin, manager, agent, billing and viewer. The billing role reads the money and never a conversation, however it connects.

Two-factor sign-in, for everyone

An owner can require a code from an authenticator app of everybody in the workspace.

An activity log

Sign-ins, failed sign-ins, team changes and keys: who, when and from where.

Consent on the record

When and how each customer agreed, as Kenya’s Data Protection Act asks, and STOP honoured in English and Kiswahili.

Kept as long as you choose

Messages kept until deleted, or from 30 days to five years, and a customer’s data exported or erased on request.

Is it working?

Sema checks itself every minute, and says what it found on its status page.

What people ask first

Can my customers pay me in the chat?
Yes, into your own paybill or till. Connect your account from Safaricom’s Daraja portal once, and anyone who replies can send the customer the M-Pesa prompt from the conversation; it shows as paid, with the receipt, once M-Pesa confirms it. The money never passes through Sema.
Do I need a WhatsApp catalog?
No. Everything else works without one. If you keep your products in Meta’s Commerce Manager, Sema picks them up every hour and you can send them from any conversation.
Will the AI promise things we do not have?
It is told never to invent a price, stock or a delivery time, and answers on its own only from what you wrote down. Anything else goes to your team. It is off until you switch it on.
We have more than one branch.
Growth takes three WhatsApp numbers and ten people; conversations can be routed to a team per number and shared out in turn.

Start with the number your customers already have.

Connect it, and answer today’s chats from one place. The routine answers can come later.
